Brains trust, I need help. I can NOT for the life of me find anything about this tea set, with the exception that it is a Burslem pattern dated 1929.

I adore it, but am moving house and sadly this is among the things I have to move on. 362276790_824361415978277_6118314339184840854_n.jpg 361987232_103620642809910_185809922444774693_n.jpg 362297419_843479694244866_3107790866847068682_n.jpg

Many, many patterns never had actual names.

Oh wow really? I had no idea! How would I go about getting it valued? I can't find a single example of it online anywhere. I am sorry, I am such a newbie I have zero idea really!

Do you have any more pieces? A sugar bowl, perhaps, or a cake (serving) plate, or another trio?
Regardless, IMHO this type of set wouldn't have much value, even if complete (with the pieces I've mentioned, to make up a "tea for two" at minimum). And if you can't find any other examples of the pattern online, it means any owner would have difficulty replacing missing pieces. ("Rare" is not always a good thing!) Also, condition is iffy, with all that crazing.
But by all means, do see if others offer different opinions. :)

EDIT: Just thinking about size... in the first photo, the creamer jug looks quite big, but in the photo of you holding it, it looks like a "mini" creamer. So... it could be meant as a set for one, but would then still be missing a sugar bowl.

Thank you so much for the link! I appreciate the help. I think I definitely paid too much for the set, $350 AUD.

The second photo makes it look a lot smaller than it is, I thought the same thing when I took it. I think you are right, it is a tea for 2 and missing the sugar bowl and a trio. I definitely paid too much for it retrospectively, $350 AUD from memory. I might be better off just keeping it.

Perhaps you overspent from an investment standpoint but you also need to factor in the enjoyment the set has given you over the years. I know sometimes I go a little high when I purchase for myself but I also know I will enjoy looking at that item in my home (hopefully for many years to come). Best of luck on your move.

    Well said!
It's something I've certainly done, and without regret. :)
