My one thought about it is that it's one of those Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day kinds of things.

It was an example of clover with a Star of David.Does the plastic 3 leaf clover's pin hardware give that star the right orientation?

The blue ball is a Royal Copenhagen bowl designed by Inge Lise Koefoed. Mesh purse is silver. Art nouveau crumb scoop is Carl Deffner.

Refound after placing in a drawer years ago. Tests about sterling. No marks. @Hollyblue how were these lines scribed? Guesses as to origin?

I see things like this described as 'engine turned' but don't know what the actual technique is. Seems to be used a lot for compacts, cigarette cases, etc.

The outside is "engine turned" and looks like the the machine was out of alignment with the many "mistakes". The inside was "jeweled" and appears to have been tinned after the jeweling. As the machines have been used in a number of countries for a few hundred years plus, impossible to pick out a single origin.

Thanks. I liked the Mexican ones the best. Someone put some real work in on them, especially the really fine wool one, and I think the fading is what made that one cool. May the Chimayo piece be worth reselling.
