Probably there's a correct name for these things that have a pierced inner bottom, with an attached overflow saucer...but I don't recall ever knowing what it is.
The important thing, though, is who may have made it...an' roughly when? Weller? McCoy? Hull? I'm without clue. Thanks for lookin'!

I'm pretty sure that is a McCoy Flowerpot w/ attached saucer
Checked my book and didn't see this particular one. Definitely a McCoy glaze

I have labored under the impression that McCoy is almost always marked. Probably erroneously, it would seem...

I had a pot almost exactly like yours but with out the overflow saucer. Unfortunately i sold it or i would check to see if it was marked. You might post it on the mccoy facebook site and see if anyone knows. The color and style look right for Mccoy.

I have a Brush-McCoy pitcher that is not marked at all. Found it in a catalog. Maybe you could look in that kind of resource.

I can't really help as my lone McCoy book doesn't have this exact planter (at least I don't see it) however it does have a vase #112 that doesn't look right to me and another #41 that I think may be the pattern. I don't know if the pattern numbers changed with time or item.

I've seen this pattern called Sand Dollar or Necco online but no idea if that is correct.

Anyway, from Nissen & Hanson's McCoy book Vol III:

Different monitors/lighting? Looks turquoise-ish in some photos on my computer.

Yes...Does anyone remember Necco Wafers? YUM!
They were all pastel colors, an' being almost all sugar they were popular at the snack counter at my local movie house, growing up...cheap, too! It was The Roxy, on Cass Street, P.B., San Diego, late 1940's.

    Not all McCoy is marked!

Give that poor poppy a soak in warm water with a few denture cleaning tablets, it should look better :)

Yup...mea culpa. My haste was at fault, Marie...so I shot those pics without a proper cleaning. I'll remedy that, an' you'll see the results right here!

Bring some of the bright pink Necco candies when you come back! They were my favorite:kiss:
