Hello, first time posting here. I honestly don't know what I have, so I'm reaching out to see if anyone can provide any information about this rocking chair. I know that it's difficult to judge something that you haven't seen in person, but please see the attached pictures and provide any information that you can about the chair.

I'm interested to know the approximate year that it was manufactured and if it would be worth restoring or just selling it in as-is condition.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your time, and I hope that you have a nice day.

    Greg

Hi, Greg! And welcome. Now do tell us... Is this a family piece? Or just something you came across?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Now wouldn't it be nice if it were a Stickley Mission Oak one, which I don't believe it is..........Does the close-up of that plug/button on the very front say anything??? It's very tiny......

I agree that the style is generally "Mission." By whom? Not a clue.

I fiddled with your images to get them to post....seeing if it worked first......OK...

On the front edge of the seat, it looks like someone took a marker at some point in time and wrote something.....could be the maker, could just be owner initials & last name....too dark to really read....as much as I tried to lighten things....looks like it could Start with B & B or R & R.....with a last name possibly B or Ridge???? Maybe YOU can see it better with a flash light??? The very last image is before I started trying to lighten it, so you see how dark it is! I also "THINK" I might see "B & B" on that plug in the front just to the left of my editing....but I could be wrong on that.......

Circa 1920. Generally mission style but the design on the splat is more transitional. Not a high end piece so I would probably sell as-is.

So sorry I didn't get back earlier, I didn't get notified. Also, the website said that the images I originally loaded from my phone were too large so that's why I uploaded smaller ones.
Thank You All very much for the information.
I will look at the front to try and decipher the letters. This piece was left in the house that my wife and I purchased 7 years ago and it's just been sitting in our basement.

When I click on the thumbnail it does give me a full image on my phone so I'm not sure what happened. Chalk it up to first time post.
    Thanks for your help!
