    It's 2" X 1.25", slightly domed, 0.75 oz.
I'm guessing, mostly from the script, 1930's to 50's, 'tho might be ~20 years earlier. Google image search gives lotsa oval, red stuff...but not this. Can't believe it was a one-off, but whether automotive (the attaching hardware seems to point there) or something else is an open question. Have any of you folks seen this, anywhere? Thanks for lookin'!

For years I kept a Chevrolet Radiator logo...blue & white enamel on guilloche, on CP or Nickel on copper/brass. Acquired in my youth, treasured for literally decades...now long gone, nor nary a single clue about where, or when. Sigh...

That would be Tracy, California; not really close, but...

Bit of a cow town. Wouldn't think it would have been big enough to generate what must have been multiples of these in its day. May we see the reverse? Looks like an automotive but tiny for that purpose I'd think.

Guilloché-decorative technique where a very precise, intricate & repetitive pattern is mechanically engraved into an underlying material via engine turning, it uses a machine of the same name. This improved on more time-consuming hand-done designs allowing for greater delicacy.

It does look like a car badge. And Tracy, CA would make sense. Why don't you ask the local museum?

The small pin appears to be simply an orientation locator; the trifurcated part is spring steel which 'snaps' into a hole for mounting.

Confusing as to the business' start date but you can always ask.

"For more than 80 years and three generations of dealers the Tracy family has made it so easy for customers on the South Shore and greater Plymouth area to purchase new and used automobiles. Since our beginning in 1992 Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac has emphasized first-rate customer service and straightforward bottom-line pricing with fair trade-ins every time--without the games or gimmicks you find at other dealerships."

That's a modern font...the oval one is decades older, I think.
