Featured Chinese or Korean jar

    These show up both whole and sherd on the Thames foreshore, often. They were used as ballast, basically. That one might be eighteenth.

    I’ve heard the ballast thing too and nearly mentioned it.

    I’ve had a few provincial pieces listed for years. Mine don’t have much if any decoration and I’m asking the very high end of the market or higher for them. I think one did finally sell a while back. They are interesting things to have and shockingly cheap to get. I guess they aren’t rare though, just old.
