Hi this has been in my family for a while but I have no idea where it came from or if there is any history behind it. Our family is Canadian and no known indigenous ties.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

No, unfortunately not though it is quite tarnished. Any idea where I could find more information about it?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Wondering if different angles (or turns of it) might reveal more clues???

1st we have to figure out what it is.....

We'd like to see the images on both sides and the rear, please.

From what I see the images point to the US Southwest.

The bow and arrow warrior looks like a pictograph , and the Swastika are both pre WW2 symbols.

It has the look of a sand cast item , not hand carved.

    I can't say it's native made........

Ahhhh… I didn’t catch the whirling logs decoration, good eye. Although used in many cultures for centuries, in this example it would certainly lean towards Navajo or Hopi

To my eyes it's not Native, but they used some Native symbols. Some jewelry makers did this early and often in the 1950s, using a variety of metals. The more we see the more we'll know.

Looks like Fred Harvey era jewelry, need more photos to see how it was made. Many pieces were made with a rolling mill.

Manufactured with a rolling mill, probably sometime before 1950. A photo of the other side of the opening may help.

Yes, it looks like a mix of things, mostly unrelated.
And as Holly said, made using a rolling mill, so not a one off. Unlikely to be NA made, at least not hand made.

    Do these help?

Sounds like we are leaning towards a mass produced pick up at a souvenir shop and not a crazy story about some long lost indigenous relative, fair to assume?

I have one with "Indian" symbols all over it, except that they're northern Plains-ish symbols that have more to do with the Boy Scouts than with Native Americans. I bought it because it made me want to giggle. That one is totally rolling mill factory-made and my guess was that this one was too.

    Fair.
Alternative scenario: Some long lost indigenous relative picked it up at a souvenir shop.:playful:
