Featured Victorian silver brooch

    Just picked up this cute little thing for the price of a pint. :pompous:

    Edit. Perhaps not victorian. 1920 I think

    I highly doubt it, but gives a good description, would having a citrine in it, bump it up a bit ?

    Theye usually have citrine in them, and this is a very small one.
    The citrines are Cairngorms, which is the name for both citrines and smoky quartz from the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland.

    I've seen a few for that price but I think most websites prices are over inflated. Also seen one around the £50 mark.

    It was in the display cabinet hiding under another brooch which I decided not to buy because it was a bit naff.

    Silver Smith is Adie and lovekin I think.

    A US Thrift would have $20-$40 on it-not joking friends.Be glad you're not pickin' in the States !

    Some would over here too. Depends on the management and volunteers I guess. Also if they are short staffed they just need to get the stuff out on the floor and sold. Perhaps didnt have time to value it.
