I ask because when I got it, that's what the seller assured me it was...I had never seen one before. Then I saw crs' 'Blended Glaze' post this morning, an' now I'm not sure. What is this pottery pedestal properly called? Is this 'blended glaze' as well?
It's 18" high, ~9" diameter head & foot; it's heavy...too much for my small scale but not enough for the bathroom scale to register...I'll guess 14-18 lbs.
Not a mark on it that I can find. Lots of top-wear; the base has been ground, but only enough to take the peaks off the glaze drips. I'm also puzzled at the interior being so well & brightly glazed...must be a reason, but it escapes me. I was told that it is an American 19th C product...but I'm not sure about that, either.
I am at your mercy here...thanks for lookin'!

First pic is correct orientation. It is a pedestal for a jardiniere. Not 19th century. early 20th century. I would call it a blended glaze. I think I saw that pattern while looking for mine on google. Be aware that if you find a listing saying it is by so & so, unless marked, take that as a jumping off place to verify.
