    hi all

found these in a charity shop today for a no brainer purchase price

just done a google image search from a gallery pic, and the artist seems well known, william barribal

cant decide if they are deco or art nouveau ?

if they are prints they are decent vintage (small foxing marks)vibrant ones, on good paper

there is actually paint on there as well, all the white is paint

just read the originals are gouache, but i think most of mine is printed

both have been framed in modern frames

    any info or comments appreciated

The other is 'Butterfly-Singed' also from Puck. 1914.

They're certainly not as vibrant as one would expect. Wonder if they're not contemporary to frames.

Interesting. "Attributed to." Does the paper look old?

both the frames are by medina, a local framing shop in our town

the paper has foxing spots, so they are not new, but hard to tell

Yours does look like the invaluable one. And women on stage is a very interesting subject. Degas famous for, of course. This one of his has similar palette.

They are both fabulous ! They might be a tad faded, hence not as vibrant.
