Antique Perfume bottle?

Hello, my relative recently came across what appears to be a silver flask, does anyone know what age this has come from or the civilization?

Have you seen it in person or has your relative noticed any marks of any sort?

Can you give us measurements? A picture of the underside might also help, even if there are no marks there.

It looks Middle Eastern to me, but that is not conclusive. I'll tag a member who may have more experienced thoughts. @Any Jewelry

How big is it, @roy777 ? And could you ask your relative for a photo of the applicator, the thin rod that is inside the bottle, attached to the lid?

The bottle is Indian imo (India), and could be a kohl bottle, but to ascertain that we need to see the applicator.
It looks like plated copper, set with glass cabochons. Datewise I think mid-20th century, not yet antique.

 

Komo wants to help by posting the photo, but something went wrong, hence the IMG (image) thing.

 

I understand he's trying to help, but this happens frequently and I don't know why, or whether there is something I can do on my end to fix it. Maybe others have this same problem who just haven't mentioned it.

 

It could be that komo is trying to copy and paste, which we used to be able to do without a problem.

Thanks, yes it is an Indian kohl bottle, plated copper. The plating could be with a base silvertone metal. These were made for local use, but many more were sold as souvenir and for export.

These bottles were decorated with glass or agate, sometimes onyx. Never with with jade and rubies, besides, those red cabochons look nothing like rubies. Did your relative have them tested?
