Featured Colin Richardson info

Hi all opinions on whether my 20 bucks was well spent in this painting. Colin Richardson from over in England strange to find it in Cheltenham Victoria. Dated 1977 300mm wide. Have googled him but couldn't find whether he is still alive any info appreciated chris

It's a haunting painting, and I would have spent 20 dollars on it in a heartbeat. I love paintings like this.

@Chris Mount , I'm from the U.S., but have some cousins from Cheltenham, Victoria! I'm in touch with only one of them who doesn't live there any more. My grandfather's family was from Germany. My grandfather moved to the U.S. and two of his brothers moved to Australia. -- Maybe I'll get to visit there some day.

 

well there you go it's about 20 km from Melbourne one of the best cities in earth it's amazing where people end up I wonder why they moved to different locations australia is the place to come unfortunately we take it for granted sometimes thanks for info

 

I'm not sure... my grandfather did meet his future wife, my grandmother, here in the U.S. and I think that was a big reason for him.

 

I think that's someone quite different. The Colin Richardson who painted in Newquay was born in about 1927, and had lost his sight by 2004:
