I am thinking of buying this ring as it is quite unique and cool. The maker mark is PacG and was first registered in 1976. I just can't figure out what the stone is? It kind of looks like amber.... Does anyone know?

Are those inclusion in the stone?
    Does it feel cold?

    My first thought is citrine.
Could also be yellow sapphire or even tourmaline.
A jeweler with a Presidium tester would be most helpful.

That was mine too, but I was confused by what looks like dark inclusions.

It could even be a garnet!
Or topaz, or.......the list goes on!
I'm gonna say probably not amber. I don't think a jeweler would put such a soft stone in a heavy gold man's ring.

I have seen amber in men's rings, which doesn't mean this is it. Let's see what spart says about the temperature.

It wants to be amber, but it could be citrine, or tourmaline, or any number of other things.

There are indeed inclusions within the stone! I can't remember if it was hot or cold but I would lean more towards cold than warm
