Featured Where is this basket from?

    Hi all,
    This isn't mine, it is for sale locally, trying to figure out where it was made. It is about 9"H. The seller thinks Salish, no idea if that is correct.
    any information appreciated

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    It's interesting that the inside is so colorful, and the outside seems not to be. I wonder whether that was the way it was made, or is the outside faded?

    The outside is very faded from exposure to sunlight. The basket is a traditional palm fiber basket, made in Ethiopia, in eastern Africa.
