one of my favs in my youth lol i have all them , i went to their first concert in vancouver, they were backing up a heavy metal band motley crew i think ( wasn't and still not into metal ) , after the first song let the good times roll the crowd booed them off the stage , but before they left they swore they would never play there again, couple years later the headlined at the bc place lol i went too that one also, it was more their crowd this time

 

I think I would have been a Cars fan back then. I picked this LP up at a vintage record shop about two years ago, one of my smarter choices.

 

ya it was split 60/40 in the crowd

 

they threw toilet paper and bottles, it was a sad day

 

new wave hits heavy metal, the concert promoters should have know better we all saw it coming

 

i'm hearing now that first pressings are considered to be like first edition books , love it lol

 

I think that’s what is happening in the record world as well. I spoke with one record shop owner I chat with regularly when I go to his store, he thinks that certain artists are declining in value, such as Elvis, he says because the crowd that buys his records are getting older. The youth are buying Beatles etc though. We may one day be having the same chat about The Cars & Motley Cru Records being like books also in the near future.

lets hope rock and roll never dies lol my daughter told me the other day she loves it, and turns down her music when i start playing mine hehehe still hope

 

but i'm sure when i listen to the cars ,the whole neighborhood is listening to the cars lol

 

i had a good laugh one time ... i was at a garage sale about a block away from me and i needed a few more dollars to buy something ... i told the lady to hold it for me and that i just lived down the street .... she replied i know i hear you guys playing music all the time . lol

 

i did shut them down at ten

 

going to play the cars all day lol
