Again, totally out of my depth!
This huge glass is very tall at c19cm but I have no clue as to how old it is so I’d be very grateful for any help please.
Bubbles in the glass and a spiral affair going on on the base.
It has an amazing ring to it as I clipped it against something :bag: but fortunately no damage.
Thanks for looking and for any suggestions as to age of origin :)

When you mention the 'ring to it', would that be made of Flint? Mom used to have a lot of Flint glass and if you 'snapped' your fingers to it, it had a beautiful ring!

Yes, if you flick it with your finger it sings! I’ve not heard of flint glass before.

It’s not a Rummer/roehmer, that’s a very distinct shape. Early nineteenth I’d think. Or even late eighteenth. Could be English, but that engraving style is also bohemian and that.

Aquitaine beat me to the flint glass. I have my mother's collection and they do ring beautifully. All of my pieces are heavier than crystal as yours appears to be and many are that shape. I like the etching on yours.

LIKING the 'fern' pattern too!!! BTW, It could be a 'Spooner'.....Which could be really anything heavy enough not to break!!!

I’d missed the height. I think might be more likely to be a celery vase.

How very posh! I must rush with it through the West Wing to the Orangery where we will partake in afternoon tea whilst being serenaded from the Musicians Gallery.
Joking apart it is very tall!

Ownedby bear beat me to it again. I got to thinking it could be a celery vase. They are taller. Now you just need some celery salts to go with it.
