    My wife's been surfing numerous French travel sites & found a built-in App that translates most web pages into English fairly easily.I'll ask her which buttons to hit-doesn't seem like much cutting/pasting needed.

    Lang's didn't have it either. Some jewelry marks are just very obscure. Maybe I'll never know the maker!

    The site Bronwen posted has rows of photos.
    There is no need for a translation, kyra is French and some of us can read French easily, but going through 400 pages with rows of photos of marks is impossible. One page already gives me a headache.

    That is the French boar's head mark, for .800 fineness.
    You can't see the head itself because it is worn, but the shape is recognizable, if you know the mark.

    I think the image between the J and D is a castle or tower.
    Under a 20x loupe, It looks like this to me:
