Japanese tin tea caddy

This was $6 in the antique mall.
I wasn't sure what it was, but it looked interesting to me. Through Google image search, I have discerned that it is a Japanese tin tea caddy. 3.5" high, 3" wide.
But is it modern, older, or even antique?
There was a similar one for sale on Etsy, but the vague description says it's from the 1990s.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The floral design is similar, but not exactly the same.

 

Check it with a magnet to see if it is "tinned" or made of pewter.

 

I just checked, it's not magnetic

 

I would have bought it even knowing it was from the 90's.

 

And here's another one I just saw,
saying post-1940.
This listing seems to be more accurate than the one I posted above.
Once again, the design is similar, but not identical. It looks like the designs were hand applied somehow? The bottom mark is identical to mine.

I might go with vintage post-1940s.
This is for my own collection, not to resell, but I always want to research my own items!
