I have what I think is a printed pattern sample for a Persian rug

Anyone ever seen this? It looks like maybe a pattern sample for a Persian rug. I found one on Worthopedia but it sold over 13 years ago.

I think it's a sample to show a pattern available. The 15x9 is probably feet for the real rug.

In that case the 15x9 on the back is the actual size of this one.

 

It looks like the fabric printing technique known as qalamkar in Iran (and kalamkari in India), made by applying dyes with woodblocks and hand painting. Made in a variety of sizes, such textiles had multiple uses, from bedspreads and wall hangings to small decorative covers for trays and tables. I don't believe this would be a rug pattern or sample.
