Hello All. I recently was given two beautiful US Navy rings from a family member who lived in the DC area, so I don't know a lot about them; The first appears to be a US Navy class ring (Annapolis?) but I have not seen one that has a "WWII" stamped plaque added to the blue stone. The second ring is even more interesting than the first. Ut has "USS Maryland" inscribed in the ring and as it appears that the seaman served in the Navy during WWII makes me wonder if it is possible the Navy member served aboard the battleship USS Maryland (the one sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor, but refloated) and survived the attack.. It would be amazing if true, but I have been unable to find anything online about either ring. There appears to be inscription on the underside, but the letters are so small I can't read them. I thought they were silver in content, but again, not sure. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

The USS Maryland inscription may be more like Remember the Alamo!. Honor to the memory of those who died & a reminder of why you're fighting.

unless it came off a serviceman's finger, there are many commemorative rings out there...

    What company makes military rings?

Jostens is the only jewelry manufacturer in the world to receive this honor. And it's a foundation we continue to build upon to establish ourselves not as a vendor, but as a partner to the United States Military.

The USS Maryland ring was probably something purchased by a crew member. My husband has tons of memorabilia from his various Navy duty stations, including the USS Warrington
