    Hello everyone
I bought such a brooch, the fastening is broken. But she is so beautiful that I wanted to have her
Please help to find out how old she is and what country she is from.
There is no marking, I don't know what kind of metal it is, and whether it's glass or stone, I don't know either
I will be grateful for ideas

That’s a between the wars Czech dress clip. I have some very similar ones.

    Sniped by OBB.;)
It is base metal with glass. Gorgeous blue.

You could attach two chains to the sides and wear it as a necklace.

Agree with originally a dress clip (with the clip broken off). Safety chain added by a previous owner.

Looks like glass and marcasites for the stones.

Those can be replaced very easily. You can get cheap boxes with different sizes marcasites.
The only tricky thing is that you need a steady hand, but there are also those sticky gemholders to help those of us with shaky hands.

@Any Jewelry what are sticky gem holders? Sounds like something I should have in my stock for doing replacements.

They are like pens with a sticky end which you can stick a small stone on, for repairs. They are really handy for those tiny, finnicky stones.
There is probably a proper name for them, but I can't remember and I can't find mine to check. Maybe @kyratango knows.

A dop stick is what you need ;)

That is much more complicated, you also need dopwax, which is hard when it sets and you need to heat it again to loosen it from the stone.
The ones I mean are more delicate, and the sticky end doesn't set. You can't use it to polish stones, which is what dopsticks are for.

Thank you. Finding more in the U.S. too, including a "wax pencil" that can lightly hold a gem. Definitely adding this to my stash!

    Great suggestion.
