Thanks, Susan! Designing a geneology site would have been fun. :)

When I first started doing html stuff, it drove me crazy. As a tech writer, I'd been using user-friendly graphics and text software for 20+ years, and it felt like going back to kindergarten.

    Thanks, King!

Hmm... this makes me curious what does show on an iPhone? Do you have a way to do a screen capture or to take a photo of what you're seeing? If you're not seeing the graphics I mentioned, then the designs must look pretty strange!

    Hehehehe!

Could you describe what you do see? It sounds like it's not picking up the jpegs, which are used throughout all the designs. Without the jpegs... they'd look pretty strange!

All I saw were the pics of each item and the standard info on ebay but did see the Bling page.

Like King, I feel a little uncomfortable adding more, but would like to show some things I fooled around with that are actually more my own style and where I did all the work. I love doing online graphics and have done it as a hobby, but I never actually offered my designs for sale. I was getting close to trying to sell some designs for eBay and Etsy sellers, and then the recession hit and people stopped buying designs as much, so I've never done anything with them.... and now most people are using pared down looks, anyway.

I particularly enjoy taking elements of antique images and giving them a three-dimensional look.

The last image is an online birthday card I created recently for my brother-in-law.

Oh, goodness, then iPhones aren't showing much at all. When you're on a computer, take a look and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks, King and Komo! (Our "K and K" guys! :) )

When I was a tech writer I did a lot of design work for books and online, and people used to tell me the designs were "clean." I think that's part of why I liked making beaded jewelry, since there tends to be a precision in beaded work.

Speaking of jewelry, l don't have photos of my favorites that I sold long ago. But here's a bracelet and pair of earrings I made that I particularly like. Although I've created jewelry in many different styles, including heavier pieces with an ethnic/earthy look, I feel most attached to more delicate pieces with an antique and feminine look. They're the ones that make me smile. :)

Thanks, Gila! I was never good at drawing or painting, but love color and texture and playing with their arrangements.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

    I have a pet theory.
Most artists are either deductive or inductive. I may be using those words incorrectly but what I mean is...
They are best at either making things out nothing, or taking things and arranging them into beautiful stuff that's greater than the parts alone.
See... you could give me a bunch of beads or fabrics or such, and I would sit and stare at them. I have to start with a blank space or surface.
Now, Pat, for example, you take multiple elements and pull them together with such balance and beauty. Right?
    Kingsy, you sorta do both.
    Whatcha think?

    I have a theory , I like to pet !
All artists are a little off kilter , which allows...nay...drives them to create things that the rest of us can only imagine doing !

You can study all your life, but if you're not born with the ability to put into form the things that you see in your minds eye.....well then...
