Hi guys I picked up these brass candlesticks today at a thrift store. I was attracted to them because of the style, but seeing as they were only £4.00 for the pair I loved them even more :). I tried a magnet on them and it didnt stick so I am guessing but could be wrong that they are brass.
I just think they are cool as they are but I am wondering is there age to them and do you agree with my thoughts to leave them as they are and maybe not clean them? Thanks Sean

UPDATE : I think I have found them online and I have since found the stamp that makes the The Diamond Prince

These are nice, I always buy them if they are cheap enough too. All I know is that the earlier ones usually have a seam down the sides.

Thank you so much, when you say a seam do you mean it like two pieces together? There doesnt seem to be a seam if you excuse my pun :)

    Yes, cast in two halves.
I took some quite nice ones to auction last year, didn’t get much for them but £4 is a bargain. Mine didn’t have the seams either.
    Really good clear pictures!

Have they both got the rod? Looks a bit thin to push up a thick candle.
Need to see a picture of the top holders.

Yes both have a rod, the top has wax residue inside both so I will need to clean that to see.

Google Queen of diamonds candlesticks which seem to have a similar design as yours.

I would clean them but it’s up to your personal preference.
