    Holding the clasp to the brooch,unknown material so it may not have been able to solder without melting the brooch.

    Aha ! Eureka ! Found it well Google and Pinterest had something to do with it . Early 1930 Little Nemo Brier Bro of NY started in 1911 by the by Chanel visited Union Square NY about 1931 ...a gal can dream .
