Featured Russian Army Coats & Pair of Wool Pants

I believe I am correct in that the coat & the jacket are Russian/Soviet Union army, but what about the pants? They look to be a different color than the long coat & I would think there would be different markings inside as to sizes BWDIK.

The green jacket is in pretty poor shape & has had all the pins etc. removed, but not before they left stains inside. The long coat has some discolorations & one area where something nibbled away a small spot. The pants are in pretty good shape.

What is the significance of the 2 stars on the shoulders & the lapel pin on the long coat?

Are the pants made to be worn with the long coat?

Was the green jacket part of the "summer" uniform?
