Can anyone help identify this

My mother gave me this medal and to be honest I cant track down when or what this was awarded for any help is appreciated, I gather this might be a russian medal becuase of the dual headed eagle

I figured you guys could see the image in the replys I've been here for less then a few hours

 

Crossed wires. Looks like you were doing while I was complaining. It's always easier for the rest of us if we do not need to leave the page to see the photos or click to see them full size. Especially inconvenient for those viewing from phones.

Not sure it's exactly a medal. What is the back like?

 

Unfortunately, the back appears to be blank. No markings at all.

Did not realize my original reply was becoming a comment on media instead of a post to the thread. It was made before photo of back was supplied. I copied it over to here to keep it all together in one place.

If that's a finger at the top of the photo of the back, looks 1.5 - 2 inches, point to point.

I'm seeing that starburst pattern in the Order of St. Stanislaus, but not with the double headed eagle in the middle. Perhaps @Leonardo Scherer might know something.
