Featured Silver Utensil Use Help

    Hi All,
    I need some help with a couple of pieces
    any information appreciated.
    thanks for looking:)
    #1, sterling handles, each piece is 8 1/2"L. Tomato server and Salad fork?

    #2 - the little bit that holds the handle and piece together is marked sterling, what is it called?

    #1 Do look like tomato server and some kind of serving fork. (Salad server is often wider or even bowl shaped in the tines.)

    @2 A collar. (at least that's what we call them here.)

    I've also heard the term ferrule for the part shown in #2

    First picture
    8" is too big for a salad fork. I would think Cold Meat fork

    Second picture
    Fish knife, and sardine fork, not sure about the smaller one

    What quirky said was ferrule (and I've heard it called this), I've always called
    a bolster. I may or may not be correct.

    Ferrule is correct though autocorrect doesn't think it's a word

    Cluttered is right on "cold meat fork." I was poking around in my brain for that term last night, but found it too late to post.
