I'd like to post a photo of a cast metal lamp and ask for ideas on age and type of metal

IMG_1526-1.jpg I've been enjoying conversations on this site for years. Don't know why it took me so long to join in. I'm retired now and downsizing from a lifelong urge to collect and accumulate. Research is so much fun...when it leads to answers

    Welcome @DARFK
Please can you click edit and then ‘full image’ by your photo. You may need to click more options to do it. Then we can see it full size rather than a thumbnail.
Would you be able to take a few more photos?
I cant tell you anything about your lamp but it’s really helpful for others to have plenty of photos including the base.
If you get the ‘image too large’ error message then email them to yourself, click medium size, save them from your email and them they should load.

Thanks so much for the help! I'll do as you suggest to enlarge. Here is another photo of the underside and a CU.

Nice base - the ribs are so thin it must have been a PITA to build that pattern and then have to cast it. The actuall sand mold may have actually been made from all cores pieced/glued together.
