Featured Any ideas on the age of this mahogany table?

    Found this table out thrifting. Any ideas on the age of it? Thanks :)

    That Empire look was classic, and revived several times. I'd say late 19th century on this. And look at that burl! Gorgeous.

    Thrifting you say? I want to go thrifting in your neighborhood!

    Im guessing earlier. Maybe 1850s. Id have jumped on that with both feet,love the burl.Whats the size?

    Agree with the 1850 date -- Late classical. Condition looks pretty good considering age.

    Would never find that at a Goodwill in our metro. THey have a group that looks at all things that might be worth something, and if so, they send it to their "boutique" goodwill where they ask retail + for most things.

    It measures 34" x 34" and 29" tall...I am thinking it is a tea table or an entrance table.

    Thrift stores in my area are great for hunting...everything is grouped together. this table was in with the dining tables. This is too small to be a dining table, probably a entrance table or a tea table.
