First is this pitcher. It is old and reacts strongly under UV, glows yellow. Measures 9" high and looks to hold maybe 1/2 gallon (that's a guesstimate). It has an etch that feels somewhat smooth, maybe an acid etch with 2 birds, a house or estate building with a tower on one side and then a bunch of flora. Has an applied handle. I have no clue who made it or even where to start looking. Any help is appreciated.

The 2nd piece is a toothpick and I am at a loss what to call the color. Blush? The color is part of the glass, not a stain. The top rim is ground and polished. Measures 2" high. Again, don't know where to look.

    TY!

Love the toothpick. If you are going to sell, please let me know.

Not sure, but is the toothpick what they call rubina?

It does look like it, doesn't it?

The "house" looks like a Russian church elongated. Maybe the pitcher is from eastern Europe.

Googled antique rubina art glass toothpick holder and found yours. Two are on eBay but they don't know anything about them.

I just got home and found the 2 on eBay. Yep, they don't know much and theirs are both damaged, but at least I have a keyword to search now.

I also thought the "house" a little odd. That tower looks either Russian or Arabic and seems out of place.

I would investigate both Hobbs and Northwood for the rubina toothpick.
I think they call that a ring neck.

    Maybe Tom will stop by.

I think trip is correct to think Europe for the pitcher. That doesn't look like an American scene.

There is also an ended listing for what appears to be the same pitcher (with 2 tumblers). The seller did not have any information other than descriptive:

wenna - thanks for finding that closed listing! That is the exact same pitcher. This is old and very unusual and it's surprising that there's another recently sold on eb. I will likely have to do the same thing that seller did, just describe it and offer it for sale. Thanks so much!

Oh, I meant to add. The auction where the pitcher was sold had a lot of old family items with notes taped to them like "hand painted by a friend of Emily's who lived out by the airport", stuff like that. This one had a note but it was lost, only the sticky stuff left on the side. Too bad.

The toothpick is accepted to be Northwood's Ring Neck, yes, it's Rubina. Heacock speculated that it was from Hobbs, but I've not found it in any Hobbs original material. ditto Northwood, but Northwood did lots of nice Rubina, and may have done this.
