    Here is another Ebay find. My wife loves her Fiestaware and she has 2 of the original colour cups/saucers but the cups and saucers are marriages (different years) I had messaged Gregsglass (I knew he had a bunch of older Fiesta and might be able to offer some insight) to give me a hand to locate proper sets as it were. I had planned to buy one this year, one next year etc when I stumbled across these 5 as a lot. I messaged Greg again and got his opinion on them and he give me the nod LOL. I made the seller an offer and the seller countered. I didnt see the point messing around with more back and forth so I jumped on them. I know my wife is going to be tickled pink with them. I'd like to give a big shout out to Gregsglass for his guidance. to say it helped a lot was an understatement. I know very little about Fiestaware and with his help, I felt comfortable making this purchase.

    Hi,
    Just a note on the Fiesta. It is from the original 1936 offering. If you notice it has the internal "rings" and the flat saucers. It is a really nice set. After 1938 the internal rings started to disappear as well as the flat saucer. The "curved" somewhat deep saucers came into being. It is a minor point but it always pays to see what you have.

    Yes INDEED Greg. The dollars are in the details. Fiesta collectors were always very persnickety about the details.

    Nice buy Desperate. Ya just don't see the good old stuff around anymore.

    Just a slight thing of note, the green saucer was described by the seller as a second generation saucer. I will check the green saucer I have already and see if it is a first generation. Then do the swap before Christmas and the wife will never be the wiser ;)

    If not, no big deal, I'll locate a first generation saucer somewhere.(I imagine it will be easier to find than Gregs coffee pot lid)

    Finally found some items at an estate sale today which "might" interest some people here. Not antiques in and of themselves, but books about antiques and history (last two about Moravians). All are hardbacks and illustrated.

    The Road to Salem by Adelaide L. Fries (1944, third printing 1945) 316 pp. (with dust jacket)
