Little 14k and emerald ring that I haven't pinned down a date on. The setting seems distinctive enough it might be familiar to the jewel experts here? Only has a triangle for the maker mark which might be Kroll operating in at least the 20-30s. Does that seem possible or is it another era entirely? :bookworm:

Aww thank you Charlie! I didn't color correct so it's a little more green than blue irl but the high setting makes it ridiculously bright and sparkly for a lil stone.

Did you test the stone,it doesn't look like an emerald in the photo. Photo of the stone isn't clear enough to help with a date.

Nice ring, but have you tested the stone? I don't think that's an emerald, or the photo color balance is off and it's not showing the flaws. Most emeralds have some, often visible. It looks more like a tourmaline from here, oddly enough.

The setting is late nineteenth into early twentieth with that nice scrolling detail. I don't see emerald.

Thanks all. Ring was Presidium tested. I don't make stone declarations (even to myself :D) without them having been tested. It's really small so without a pro camera on it for micro I'm not surprised the stone was harder to see. I was focusing on the setting/shoulders so didn't put extra effort on color correction and micro focus on the gem. Lesson learned y'all wanna see it all. :joyful:

Thanks @Ownedbybear! I thought it was a pretty design regardless but couldn't be sure it wasn't a revival of some type.

Small update for the curious. I took this into my jeweler to get the setting tightened and he confirmed again in front of me with Presidium that it is emerald. He said it is a high quality stone. If it was a replacement stone, then it might be synthetic. Since I'm wearing this one and not selling, and it's a small stone to begin with, I'm not going to have it tested further. My fault for not color correcting for ya'll. I'll try to be more accurate with my photos in future and not be so lazy. :joyful:

There was no overlap of the test with tourmaline, as it was the high end of the line. As I said, the jeweler appraised it as a high quality stone, or possibly synthetic if it was a replacement in the older setting.
