I have this figure, but know nothing about it. I can't find another at any of the usual places I look. I reckon she's Little Red Riding Hood. She's had a bashing and been put back together ......badly!:wideyed: She's about 8" tall.

    Any ideas anyone?

    HAS to be!
But the big bad wolf doesn't look very big or bad. Just sayin'.

Maybe not big or bad, but he has a real attitude problem! ;)

Her whole cape should be red in the traditional "look."

    Hi,
That "dog of a wolf" would take days to eat grandma or "hood". I think it is badly painted dog.:eek::eek::eek:

I'm with the Red Riding Hood camp. She even has her little basket.

I wondered about that. As her name was red riding 'hood' then I suppose it could have just been her hood not a cape as we traditionally think:)

I suppose that all depends on how plump grandma was ;)

    But that's not a hood. It's a mob cap. ;)

Does anyone have any idea where she was made. The files have pics of the inside with a small mark but nothing I recognise.

Because the wolf looks menacing, I'm voting for Little Red, too. Just looked up "Little Red Riding Hood" on Wiki, very interesting the adaptations.

...German?..Austrian? If it has been bashed up and put "badly back together" probably the value isn't too high. Certainly the wolf and details like the basket make it charming, but with this kind of thing it seems like any damage, even minor, really takes a toll value-wise.

    It's cute, though!

Thanks :) I'm pretty sure its value will be non existant, but heard someone say once, never to get rid of or sell anything unless you know what it is. You never know:cat:

    Hi,
It is a good thing to listen to. As much as I thought I knew. I found an old common cookie jar that had been broken on the base and in five pieces. It was reglued and I liked the piece but did not like the broken mess. I listed it on eBay for $9.99. It would have been 6 bucks to ship. It sold for $125.00. I was bewildered by the price. A mint condition cookie jar went unsold for $30.00. I asked the buyer why she was paying so much. She told me the lid was unusual, it looked the same to me. She said the lid was worth 3X what she paid. So you never know. I have searched but never saw another lid.

I'm in the Little Red Riding Hood camp, too, though think either there's artistic license at play or it's based on a variation of the story we're not familiar with.

Oh, no! Now I'll never give away or toss anything!!!:jawdrop::confused::(:mask::woot:

Seriously, it is awfully hard to tell what old, not perfect, items will be desireable to someone, somewhere.
