I think it might be Jorge Wilmot! The mark looks like JR, but it could be a sideways W with a line under it. 101_0050 (640x480).jpg

Today I hit a church sale, postponed, an estate sale that turned out to be a modern gack moving sale, and then an estate sale I almost bypassed. Good thing I didn't. I don't have pictures, but did bag (ahem) two brand new backpacks for an annual charity drive. Oh, and some scrap sterling and a bitty bit of gold.(LOL) Oops. For $20. Another sale turned up those glass coasters in a holder with the sterling rims - five bucks. Those will go locally. Then I found what's probably an egg yolk amber necklace...for fifty cents. I'll have to triple check that one....

"Ecstasy" by Maxfield Parrish, 1929. 14 1/2" tall. Lots of problems, but I do think it is of the period, and it's good enough for me.

I found this on Ebay. It was listed as a Hat Pin holder or Vase with no maker attributed. It is actually a Welz Vertical Stripe (In pink) Candle Holder. I am going to keep looking for a mate for it, but in the mean time it will be repurposed as a Hat Pin Holder. (I am now on the lookout for any hat pins, and will post in the Marketplace)

Actually not too much under what they normally sell for, but I'm happy to add it to our collection. My luck though, I'll find another at triple what I paid for this one LOL

I like it as well. Welz sure knew how to do pinks. I missed out on a pink and red perfume. I am still kicking myself over it. It was incredible.

I found this sweet sewing box, MCM I believe. No marks on it so I don't know who or where it was made.

lol komokwa - it is a neat piece. It is one of the pieces I found (or uncovered) when I cleaned out the barn last weekend.
