I thought these would be quite easy to research but I’m finding very little information.
Any idea on what sort of date these were popular?.
Don’t even seem to be many on eBay to compare.
    Thanks
    :)

Cute aren't they. My OH rolls his eyes when I bring 'junk' home. He's slightly more impressed when I've just been offered 15 times what I paid for a piece of 'junk'!.( Not these, no idea if these have a value but I rather like them so they may be keepers. Just need a bigger house!)

A google search using "book paperweight" turned up a number selling for over $100 (after all the new acrylic ones) but little information about time except the usual antique vintage.

Well, aren't those fun! Would slip onto any library shelf or book stack.

I have a "book paperweight" that was my great-grandfather's. Made of white stone (marble?) with his surname initial carved into it and colored in blue ink.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Oh, I love these! Have seen some smaller ones before at an antique show and regretted not buying one.

Ive got one of those ! I had to dig it out of a crammed cabinet, where since my formerly delicate touch has now turned into my hands being anvils,I knocked over a bunch of stuff ! As I was taking it out and that happened,I dropped it on my bare foot and I can vouch that its HEAVY ! THEN,as Im trying to take a picture I dropped the camera and it burst open! So if the pics arent great, theres a reason !Getting old is HELL.Its 3inches long,2 wide.

I love that yours is inscribed!.
It’s beautiful and yes they are very heavy!. Even the smaller of mine has some fair weight to it.
Hope your foot is ok. Remember the mind is mightier than the body x
