Should I try to clean this? Or leave as is? I have it up for sale. What is good to clean non-sterling metal with that won't damage costume finish? TIA! m_5d48b9782db55a9f9aa5209b.jpeg m_5d48b97881611d4cc5e304b2.jpeg m_5d48b97823eff38a0096852d.jpeg m_5d48b97850388fc5036ad213.jpeg m_5d48b9782a568e15bcca65fd.jpeg

I just want to say that I am so impressed by your photos in the last few threads. I wanted to say it before, but forgot, and others did it for me, so to speak.
    Really beautiful!

IMHO, if it's for sale (obviously with pics), I'd leave it alone. I purchased a brass pin months ago, partially because the patina allowed it to "play well" with 2 other pieces I had. Came brightly polished. Once it's listed, leave it alone. If you want to clean, then relist. And, they are pretty pieces!

Thank you. I think I will leave it alone. I was okay with the way it was, then researched some pics and noticed almost all of them were polished. But seriously, right now I am lazy and have so many items to list.

Always to consider: is it dirty/tarnished or has it lost it's plating/paint?

Not much to be done with plate/paint loss.

It might have been meant this way, sort of "antiqued brass". Seems like other Florenza crosses have similar.

Never, ever get rhinestones wet, moisture can destroy the foil backing and you will have "dead" rhinestones!!!!!!!!!!! It may not happen overnight but it will happen eventually :inpain:

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Very good pictures... Has the middle stone lost some purple coating, or is the purple and clear coloring original to the piece?

Sorry, I haven't been on here in a while. I don't know about the stones, I got this in a lot of jewelry from an estate sale.
