Wowzer! You did good. My favorite is the black wooden kitty.

Beautiful group. The crystal heart is Waterford. I've had a couple in their original boxes.

Strange find in Charity shop today. Saw the mostly unknotted grubby pearls and brass catch, but the main clasp had some marks on so I thought faux pearls and silver clasp. I’ll buy it for £1.50. (Didn’t fancy a tooth rub). Well got it home and it’s 9ct with a diamond chip and the pearls were real.

Few more bits. The bookends and butter dish came from a jumble sale. (Her head has been off at some point and has a small chip on her bonnet but not very obvious and only £1) The black beads are glass, not sure about the amber. The loose coral beads were 15p, the pagoda cufflinks are not silver, bit corroded in places, £2.

Just a few wormholes! The clear glass liner dish is missing, seen some people put willow pattern saucers in.

I am posting this on the jewelry board. I don't know what the stone is, thrift shop find, $6. I have a lot to photograph, but since I have pansies and daffodils blooming, I am spring cleaning. Lumii_20230220_152916933.jpg Lumii_20230220_152934911.jpg

I bought it because... kitty! Must rescue kitty.

I know; it's signed and I have to others somewhere. That's why I bagged it. (Waterford for a buck? Heck yes.)

I nab those pagodas whenever they turn up. There were also made in yellow and blue, just to add fuel to the fire. I have a chipped yellow one around somewhere, and one of the clear ones too. Somewhere in this hoard.

15 and a half inches. They really did look faux in the shop, some are pale and some have colour hues and I thought it was because the top coating had worn off. This here is how they looked after a wash.

I had to borrow some strong arm help to get this out of a 2nd floor apartment.
Really heavy giant Mahogany bow front Victorian chest of drawers which has survived pretty well for the last 140 years or so.
It has few bits of veneer which need attention but otherwise it is problem free.
I'm told it is Scottish because of the secret top drawer design with no knobs.
The knobs are inlaid with ivory or more likely bone.

I've had a few of these in the past but non as heavy as this.

It is, but it is a shame they don't sell very well now.

In the late 80's and early 90's I could get £500 selling them to Dutch and Belgian buyers, but now I will be lucky to get £150-£200 locally.

Its a lot of hard work storing them and straining knees lifting them when I can get more for a one inch piece of silver or a watch or coin.
