Lyle and Lyle crocodile! Munching on each other - perfect for a lunch date. I bet milady wore the original with a crocodile bag and furs with the head and feet still attached.

A couple of recent thrift finds. Moss agate, probably unmarked sterling.

A story with this one. Overlooked on my first go-round, the dealer that comes in and gets to go in the back and loupe all the jewelry at the shop's sister store further south, comes in right after me. She leaves. I go around again to look at the jewelry and pick this up. Knotted faceted Whitby jet, 56 inch strand.

...and overlook that jet necklace like the "expert" did. Gotta love when that happens.

Yeah, I love it when I get a treasure off of them or one they bypassed.

Got this mounted Cape Buffalo skull a while ago. No really something that I like but it was a great buy. It looks to me that this has some age. I wish there was a date somewhere (just for interest sake) The further most FF1E10D3-B9BE-43E3-B4FC-7F559C5D2109.jpeg outerspan between the horns is about 90cm.

It's actually kind of neat. It would make a great place to hang the baseball caps. Or the jewelry. I'm sure someone will find it a home if you don't want it.

Went out Saturday against my own better judgement... and did OK. Went to an estate/tag sale in an Elk's lodge at o'freezing o'clock. Snagged myself an old pair of Wiss sewing scissors, a map of a local town, and... a pile of jewelry. I have to check the 3-d stars because they look like reconstituted amber. Got a dab of scrap 14k, loose beads (not pictured) a 14k dragonfly brooch, a ladies' watch with I think Swedish writing in a German .800 case, a nickel-cased Elgin on sterling chain, and some other goodies. NO idea what the stone letter opener is. The Danish container just says Copenhagen, the kitties are wooden, and the cool rocking horse is Italian sterling.(found the marks at home) The leaf pin is costume. Likes magnets. The red/orange beads are Chinese cinnabar, or at least Chinese.

On the way home, the crystal turned up in the ReStore. One of the glasses turned out to be badly cracked when I got them home, but at 3 for $1 I wasn't crying too hard. Another set of cordials was $2 for the set of five. The decanters have some chips out of the stoppers, but the stoppers are originals. They need a thread of their own because they're old enough that no one signed them.
