Jim Dunbar? Durham? Watercolor

    Picked up an awesomely done watercolor. There is a name on back although it might be the owners name...not finding much on either person...Looks easy enough to take out of the frame...

    At first glance, all I'm reading is Katonah, NY

    The last line is Katonah, NY - a town in Putnam County (I think) - north of Westchester County. I *think* the name might be Jane, not Jim, and that last name doesn't look like either of your guesses to me. Duirlin, Duirlan, Duirlen?

    Strange trees.

    Katonah turns out to be in Westchester after all, no that it matters.

    The second line looks like it ends with NC, but that first word doesn't bring a North Carolina town to mind.

    The H in Katonah looks exactly the same as what I think is Durham or Dunham

    Ok I took it out of the frame. Does have a little damage...but artist name is Weldon and dated 18?

    One can always hope ;) Would be nice to see a photo of the painting without the glass in front. Also another close up of signature to try to clarify initials.

    As it has been sent to a fine art auctioneers hopefully they will be able to identify.
