HELP with etching signature

Hi, has anyone ever seen this etching before? Or can anyone read that signature? Any help would be great! THANKS in advance.

 

Maybe this signature is larger I hope.

 

It looks very familiar -- or rather the scene is familiar...as if from a book I've read.

 

I done a image search but that didn't help. I have a room full of art that I can't make out signature. Really don't want to add to pile

Of all the Sherlocks -- many of whom were quite good -- the absolute best will always be Basil Rathbone.

 

1) I don't think I have ever seen an image of Sherlock using a music stand and,
2) Did Dr Watson play the piano?

I had SUCH a crush on BR! When I was a little girl, I saw the Errol Flynn Robin Hood. My father, who had taken me to see it, was roaring with laughter because I was cheering on BOTH swordsmen in that fabulous duel!

 

Loving two men at once often involves a good deal of cheer, indeed.

 

My father used to call Basil Rathbone, Razzle Bathbone.

 

At first glance, I thought that figure in the background was washing the window. Sorry I can't help with the siggy.
