    Hello all,
I found this recently at an antique shop but the person who was actually selling it wasn't there, so I wasn't able to get any information about it. I thought it was maybe mid-to-late twentieth-century but was curious if anyone recognized it or had any thoughts about where it's from, how old it is or what kind of wood was used. I included a picture with some wear to the hooks, which is why I believe it has a little bit of age to it at least. Thanks so much! IMG_20190724_122405.jpg IMG_20190724_122506-2687x1994e.jpg

not so much how long the hooks have been around...but more what they end up being used for...that are not picture frames..

It's similar, but I do not believe my piece is heavy enough to be teak. It's hard to identify the wood since it's definitely been stained. Thank you for your help!

Jivvy the research is my favorite

Saw tooth hangers have been around since at least the late sixties and people have been using them for hanging all manner of things for at least that long.

Or maybe that was just my family. ;)

(not that I'm saying this piece is from the sixties... in fact, not sure why I felt the need to defend saw tooth hangers. :hilarious: )
