HERMES DUPONT Silver Lighter FAKE?

On the bottom, The "HERMES" is missing the "S" letter. Is this normal? Fake? Real?

 

The internet says it should be 1960s Dupont 'Hermès' silverplate pocket lighter crosshatched with a Prince of Wales check. You can compare logos here.

That’s weird regarding the missing ‘S’ .The 2 logos looks the same to me. Can you not use the serial number to check a database and confirm? Or is there a database?

BELOW, I also, on enlargement, DON'T see that little 'flying logo' as CLEARLY, saying 'A Dupont' underneath it .....it looks close, but not clear!!! ALSO, it could just be a scratch, but it does look like a little Dolphin profile next to that logo....TO ME....For YOU, I hope it's legit, but I have questions...It's just NOT as well done IMHO!

I can think of no reason the HERMÈS logo would be mis-spelt.

The box has a variation of the HERMÈS logo but it may be a legitimate one. Of course, the box and lighter could be a marriage.
