My aunt purchased these from an estate sale in 1997. She was told they had Been in that family for 50 years. She's had two appraisers check it out, neither could find a makers/craftsman mark on them. Although she was told by one that she shouldn't ask for less than $4,000 for the large urn.

I've taken close up pictures of the details as well as measurements. Large urn is 72 inches around, opening 10.5 inches, 23 inches tall. No makers/crafters mark, it's been looked at by several dealers in antiques. The metal chest is 14 inches tall by 23 inches long, 14 inches wide.

Both the box and the jar look like they may have been made in northern India.

I will tag someone who may be able to tell you more - @Any Jewelry.

    Stunning items @Antiquehelper31 .
The box is from Kashmir imo, so the northwest of India and the adjacent part of Pakistan.
I think the jar could also be Kashmiri. The text is probably a blessing for the contents and its users.
The Kashmiri language is written in a Perso-Arabic script, which is Arabic script with a few additions to suit Persian and neighbouring languages.

Without a maker's mark, I doubt you'll ever find a maker, and I doubt if that matters at all. Personally I wouldn't worry about it, what you have are two very good items that have value as they are.

Would you have a good idea what an average price range is, for both items. Based on the pictures alone? I'm looking online for an average.

I'm sorry, I don't. I haven't been in the selling business for many years. I do think $4,000 is steep though.
