Help Identifying Candle or Cake Holder

Discussion in 'Pottery, Glass, and Porcelain' started by The Collector Chicken, Feb 8, 2023.

  1. My mother’s had this piece for quite a while, and we’ve never been able to figure out who made it. We think possibly Slag Glass or Fire and Light, but can’t find it in any book or on the web. 24F427FE-5F2F-4822-A80A-632E01709068.jpeg F4C2BF1F-AC26-4815-B14B-1637E388BBA0.jpeg 70F23860-B3C6-4C33-8343-8C9D5214FF6E.jpeg Would definitely appreciate any help.

    or where it was found..

  3. Sorry, haha. A little new to this. It’s about 9 inches in diameter, a little over an inch thick (excluding feet), and very heavy. She purchased it a long while back at an estate sale or flea market around West Virginia, Virginia, or Eastern Kentucky.

    It is a lovely color.
never saw a bottom like that before on a piece but I am not an expert.
Wondering if it could be to hold a round of cheese?
