That's what I used to use to clean my leather furniture... worked great!

I haven't hit 40 yet so only link I have with it is I have the same surname!

 

I grew up with Bruynzeel, we had their kitchen cabinets at home, and Bruynzeel pencils at school. Some things are common knowledge to people of my age in the Netherlands.
All I can find now is a Dutch wiki page on Bruynzeel, maybe you can run that through a translating app:

At the bottom of the page, where it says 'externe link' is a link to a youtube video of the historic Brynzeel buildings.

The different divisions of Bruynzeel have their own websites, but those are all in Dutch or French.
Besides, they don't seem to specialise in veneer anymore. Which makes sense if Surinam was their main source of tropical hardwood.

Since leather furniture has a surface treatment, I would use one of the comercial products made specifically for leather furniture. More traditional treatments, such as saddle soap or neatsfoot oil, might harm this coating.
