Yes, that is the original photo I posted, only I found it on the German ebay. The 'sideboard' is from Bähre's Mignon range, which is MCM style.

To avoid confusion, the plaque has nothing at all to do with Jimbo's grandmother's cabinet. I only posted the photo to show what a Mignon plaque looks like.:)

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Welcome to Antiquers, @SuperJimbo . It appears that you have a good sense of humor! That will help, as this group often meanders into other topics. Usually we also try to answer questions and help the original poster, too.

    Hey guys,
My mother was unable to find any plaques on the cabinet. Chances are we'll be giving it away to someone. What's important is that it doesn't end up getting thrown away. A little cash wouldn't hurt, but it's not important.

Another option would be for us to store it in a barn for 1-2 years until she has space for it again. We could wrap it in a furniture bag or plastic foil of some kind. Although the barn is dry, Temperature within the barn would vary from -10c(14f) in winter to 35c(95f) in summer so we're a little worried it would ruin the cabinet. Does anyone know if storing in such conditions is viable?

Seems like this forum is like any other forum on the internet. I'm yet to meet a bunch of people on a forum who don't go off-topic.

Regarding the storage... I wouldn't wrap it in plastic... fabric dust cover some old sheets or movers bankets would be better so that air can circulate and moisture/condensation is not trapped in the changing of the seasons ideally storage should be short term in barn conditions

Also if it is a stone or cold concrete floor put some wood off cuts under the feet.
