Found this study of a thoroughbred horse's head. As far as I can tell without taking the painting out of the frame it is unsigned.

If someone has a tip on how I can take the painting out of the frame without destroying everything, please let me know.

Any thoughts about the painting would be appreciated!

The dimensions of the painting are about 22 x 28 inches (55 x 70 cm). Pferd Bild 2.jpg Pferd Bild 1.jpg Pferd Bild 3.jpg Pferd Bild 4.jpg Pferd Bild 5.jpg

Those just loosen if you pull or tap them sideways.
Wedges so I think they will take off the pressure to get the whole painting out.
You can reverse that to put it back.
NOTE!!! Make sure the paint isn't stuck to the frame!

But won't the canvas come of the wooden frame? I mean not the outside frame but the actual canvas Frame/Skeleton (not sure how to explain his in English) :)

Canvas should be edge stapled to its stretcher frame.
    Just go slow....
It is possible those tiny staples are into the outer frame...
If you take the wedges out and it won't move easily those have to come out too.
Save them and straighten them if you don't have a gun for this. Or do a mechanical clip system to put it back.
If you take them out make sure you know the top/bottom of the frame so they go back easily.

I better leave it and take it to my local framer. Maybe he helps me to get it out.
    Might be safer :)

    Have any dental tools?
Needlenose pliers if you have to.

But do you think it would be worth getting it checked out? I tired to find something about the Framer in Brescia, but it seamed to have closed before internet age, since I can't find a frame company under the address, only a company that is called AUROTRE S.R.L. and does dentistry equipment.

Any guesses on the age of the painting? Framewise? Canvas???

I don't think the frame is that old with that gold fillet. 30-40 years maybe but I'm not a pro for that.
Their logo strikes me as 70s-80s, 60s maybe though their 'ribbon' biz name font is likely older.

I will take it to my framer, he is originally from Florence/Italy and maybe he has an idea. It would just be fun to find something out about this painting.

When you go see if they will let you watch. Note the tools and technique.

OMG! 'Six weeks from Sunday' is something we used to say when something didn't quite go right or some similar issue. :)
Have fun and be safe! :)

Everything is fine, I'm just flying out to see my family in Germany. Sometimes I stay even longer. :)
