Base of a Chinese silver vase. Can anyone translate it or guess the age of the vase?

    it's right what boddah said,it's 寶成 bao cheng with traditional chinese,even i only recognize the cheng word since the picture is kind of blurry,and it looks like silver!:angelic:

    Update: I didn't reach an agreement with the seller, his expectations regarding the price were too high (more than 3000$)

    I feel for you. There are many beautiful things that I have wanted to possess that slip away because the price isn't right. While it makes me sad, it is a fleeting feeling.

    Based on the size, weight and the work of it. I think 3000 is pretty reasonable price.

    I agree. It is what I expected, if not more. It is a gorgeous piece, and great quality.
