  6. Thanks everyone

here is a picture of the base

So My first instinct was that it would be Chinese because it’s A jade effigie but then After really looking at them I don’t know if he has a Chinese face so I’m trying to think where else do they do jade carvings could he be South American or Mayan ???

also he doesn’t seem to be happy - I mean it’s not a smile on his face…..

Where (country/state) was this estate? Not that the figure couldn't be from thousands of miles away, but sometimes place of acquisition is a clue.

It really helps all of us if you attach photos as full size:

I know the Estate was of a man That graduated high school in 1951 and was a veteran - which places him in the far east for the Korean war or maybe Vietnam….

there were two other items sitting next to it, totally unrelated but may serve as a clue…. an Indian grinder Stone,
And another figure That felt more modern and possibly made out of soapstone? But that’s just my opinion-

The jade effigy definitely has a certain energy and age to it - it’s worn like it’s spent a long long time in someone’s hand

  18. Also I am having trouble attaching photos - they seem to be to large of a file so I’ve been emailing them to myself re-saving them and then posting them lol

I’ve enlarged your last photos. Just check the box for full images rather than the default thumbnail. The last one looks Inuit to me.

  20. My neighbor said he looked like an Eskimo or an Alaskan lol (Inuit)

I kinda disregard him in favor of the jade maybe I should give it another look
