Cute Crude Tortoise

    What do yall think about this guy?

    He's super cute and made of some sort of gold metal..

    I picked him up off a shelf out of a 100+ year old house on a dairy farm.
    I dont believe anyone had lived in the house in over 50 years.

    He weighs .81lbs and Mears 5.5" long x 3.25" wide.

    Was/is he just a whatnot?
    What do yall think is he made of?
    Age?

    It is completely wonderful. That last photo looks like brass to me.

    Isn't it?!

    I had him in my booth, but after a few weeks decided he was going in my cabinet of curiosities because he's too cute

    I think he is special because of the movement of this legs and his fully formed body. I looked at vintage brass tortoises and they all were open bottoms except for a Japanese okimono.
